Why We Started Xgenex®

Xgenex® began with one moment. Our founder, Jim Byron, saw a child in a hospital bed recovering from salmonellosis, and he decided the problem had to be solved where it starts: inside the processing plant.

Plants have long relied on manual testing and dosing, and even hard-working teams can get different results from one shift to the next. Jim set out to build technology that measures the process continuously and corrects it automatically using robots, so food safety no longer depends on who is on the line that day.

After seeing a child in a hospital bed recovering from salmonellosis, our founder was inspired to begin developing new products and technologies to address food safety concerns. Modern food production had grown and evolved but was using outdated tools and methods from the 1900’s. Innovation was needed.

Developed to solve the challenge of accurately continuously measuring chemistry in a poultry chiller. Using dozens of sensors Xatimus® controls chemical levels to plant specified levels without the need for human intervention.

Xychlor™ launches to solve entrenched issues

With PAA some bacteria can form a resistance, so no matter how much is put into the process some salmonella survive. The food industry needed a different mechanism to solve this problem, and Xgenex® delivered.
